Who is Fat Hamster Soap?
We are Jimmy and Christina Cumbest, a husband and wife team who make soap for you in our kitchen! Christina is the one who makes the soap, and Jimmy is the one who handles the website, social media, shipping, etc. We started our business at the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak after Jimmy was furloughed from his job, and we’ve been amazed at how successful we’ve become! What started as just us selling our soap to our friends has grown into a business that has surpassed all of our expectations!

All of our soap bars are made in our own kitchen with zero animal byproducts, palm oil free, and 100% aloe vera juice (unless otherwise indicated).
Who is the fat hamster?
Big Momma is our company mascot/ one of our resident fat hamsters! When we got her, we found out a week later that she was carrying babies! After finding homes for the other hamster babies, we held on to two of her kiddos, the active little girl Sugar and our sweet little boy Peanut!
We named our business Fat Hamster because of our incredible love for the furry little critters, and we have always been impressed by and thankful for hamsters’ natural ability and instinct to keep themselves clean!

As much as we love our hamsters, these bars are not for hamsters, but are in fact for human use.

Are these bars for body use or for hair use?
The soap we currently make is for bodily use. We do not recommend using these bars on your hair. Stay tuned, however, because as we grow and become more successful, we just might introduce a shampoo bar line!
I have sensitive skin, will this soap be good for me?
Because everyone’s bodies and skin is different, we can’t make a blanket statement guaranteeing that your sensitive skin will react positively to Fat Hamster Soap bars. We’ve received word from our customers with sensitive skin that our unscented bars such as Oatmeal tend to react positively to their skin.
